US envoys, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, met with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, who reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to mediating talks between the US and Iran based on their memorandum of understanding (MoU). However, Qatar has stated that no high-level or direct meetings between US and Iranian representatives are planned in the near future.
Iran's top negotiator and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf told state TV that Iran's current meetings aim to fulfill the MoU commitments but that Tehran will not engage in further negotiations until the MoU conditions are met. He emphasized, "We are pursuing dialogue, but if the dialogue is not implemented, we are also prepared for war and will respond accordingly."
Qalibaf also reported that Iran has exported over 40 million barrels of oil since the end of the maritime blockade and is selling oil at prices 20% higher than before.
Meanwhile, the Israeli prime minister stated that Lebanon and Israel have recognized each other, attributing this achievement to recent operations. He directed a message to Iran and Hezbollah, saying, "get out of here, you have no business being here."
Israeli troops entered Lebanon on March 2 following Hezbollah's attacks on northern Israel, which were in response to US and Israeli actions against Iran on February 28.
In a separate incident reported by Iranian state television, a family vehicle in Saravan, Sistan-Baluchistan province, was attacked with gunfire, resulting in the immediate death of the father and the later death of the mother from her wounds.
The situation remains tense with no scheduled direct talks between the US and Iran, and regional conflicts continuing.
