Marcellus Wiley, the former NFL Pro Bowler and sports broadcaster, was arrested on July 5, 2026, on charges of domestic battery. The arrest occurred during an incident on the Fourth of July and was carried out by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in California, according to court records.

Wiley, 51, is currently being held without bond. No further details about the arrest have been released.

This arrest follows a recent April 2026 Rolling Stone article that cited accusations of sexual assault against Wiley by four women. The article noted that two of the women alleged assaults occurred between 1995 and 1999. Another woman claimed Wiley groomed her from the age of 13 during his time playing for the Buffalo Bills, stating, "Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13," and added that he referred to her as ‘little momma.’ She also said, "If Columbia had properly pursued the complaints… I would never have been groomed and raped."

Wiley’s NFL career included playing for the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars before retiring after the 2006 season.
