Japan is exploring the development of an artificial intelligence system designed to manage the distribution of relief supplies following disasters. The system would integrate data from government agencies and businesses to facilitate faster and more equitable delivery of aid. It plans to analyze factors such as road damage and retailer inventories to map optimal distribution routes. This initiative comes as part of efforts to enhance disaster response, with the Self-Defense Forces currently involved in delivering supplies, as seen after an earthquake struck the Noto peninsula in Ishikawa prefecture.
