Russia's overnight attack on Ukraine resulted in the deaths of three people, including a fifteen-year-old boy and his mother, according to local officials on Wednesday. These strikes occurred ahead of a planned meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky during the second day of the NATO summit in Ankara.
On the sidelines of the summit, NATO allies announced billions of dollars in defense deals. President Zelensky also revealed plans to sign new drone agreements at the event.
Ukraine criticized the International Olympic Committee's provisional lifting of its suspension of Russia's Olympic Committee, calling the decision "premature" and "unfounded." Meanwhile, President Trump stated that the US would lift sanctions on Turkey, which had been imposed due to Ankara's purchase of Russian defense missiles.
