On July 9, 2026, Palm Beach International Airport in Florida was officially renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport. The renaming, signed into law by Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, reflects an ongoing effort by former US President Donald Trump and his supporters to extend his brand across national landmarks and other prominent venues.
Eric Trump, the president’s son, celebrated the occasion by landing the family’s private Boeing 757, known as “Trump Force One,” at the newly renamed airport. Speaking on Fox News, Eric Trump called it “a beautiful day” and remarked, “I don’t think there’s anybody more synonymous with Palm Beach than Donald Trump and maybe all of Florida.”
The airport is located a short drive from the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago golf resort and compound. Eric Trump also noted that the main road leading out of the airport is already named “President Donald J.”, and now travelers arriving in Palm Beach will see “DJT” on their tickets “in perpetuity.”
This renaming is part of a broader push to associate Donald Trump’s name and image with various public and private landmarks.
