Drone attacks killed at least three people and injured five others in the Moscow region on Monday, July 13, 2026, according to Governor Andrey Vorobyov's statement on Telegram. The dead and wounded include three killed and three wounded in the settlement of Pionersky in Istra due to a drone falling, with two additional people wounded elsewhere in the region.

Vorobyov reported that air defenses intercepted and shot down 81 drones over the region. Meanwhile, drones also struck southern Stavropol, igniting a fire in an industrial zone in Vyazniki, Shpakovsky district. Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed the incident on Telegram, noting that emergency and firefighting services were responding and no casualties had been reported there.

These attacks come as Ukraine intensifies its drone strikes on Russian territory, particularly targeting energy infrastructure, which Kyiv describes as justified retaliation for Moscow's prolonged barrages against Ukraine.

Authorities have warned that the drone threat remains active across the entire region, urging vigilance and caution.
