Isabelle Johnson, 38, has been charged with the murder of 43-year-old Jason Christopher Coulthart after his remains were found buried in a shallow grave on a property in Freeport, located in Florida's Panhandle. Investigators recovered Coulthart's body on June 25 following a missing person report and subsequent information that led them to the site.
Johnson is actively evading law enforcement and is believed to be using multiple aliases while on the run, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office. Authorities have warned that anyone found assisting Johnson in avoiding arrest will face charges.
Two individuals from Santa Rosa Beach, Michael Ray White, 74, and Kathleen Morris, 59, were arrested for accessory to a capital felony after the fact and obstruction. Morris admitted to helping Johnson with transportation and supplies and misleading law enforcement about Johnson's whereabouts.
"This is not the news we hoped to deliver to our Niceville community," said Niceville Chief of Police Mark Hayse. Officials emphasized the seriousness of the homicide case and the commitment to ensuring the investigation proceeds without interference.
