It involved the kibbutz's local civilian defense squad preparing for scenarios including terrorists infiltrating the kibbutz kindergarten.

During the drill, a simulated grenade explosion injured one squad member, while others successfully neutralized the attackers. Magen48 instructor T., who withheld his full name for security reasons, acknowledged that the Bror Hayil program initially faced significant challenges. He emphasized that training now focuses on ensuring squad members locate each other before engaging, addressing a key lesson from the October 7 attack where many civilian responders acted alone.

Richard Kemp, an observer of the exercises, stated the primary goal is to prevent another attack like October 7.
