Last month, the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris, was transformed into a rocky cave through an art installation by the artist JR. The bridge was draped in fabric to create the appearance of a mountain cave. However, unlike a real cave, the installation did not provide any relief from the ongoing brutal heat wave affecting the city.
This creative project highlights the intersection of art and urban space in Paris, though it did not mitigate the extreme weather conditions experienced during the period.
