Country music artist Zach John King is mourning the sudden loss of his father, John King. On Tuesday, July 15th, 2026, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, writing, "Friday my dad suddenly went home to Jesus," alongside photos of himself with his father.

King described his father as a once-in-a-lifetime husband, father, grandfather, friend, and follower of Jesus, noting how his father's joyful spirit persisted even in difficult times. He expressed the deep pain of losing him, saying, "We wanted 25 more years with him and that pain will cut deep for the rest of my life. However, if there were ever a moment to be sure my dad is waiting for me in the very place all of our souls long for, it would be now."

In light of this loss, Zach John King announced he is canceling the next two weeks of shows to grieve with his family. He also shared that after this period, he intends to return to work, honoring his father's daily reminder: "today is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it."

This announcement follows a similar situation last year when country star Cody Johnson canceled his remaining 2025 tour dates due to a medical emergency.
