In a lawsuit filed on July 15, 2026, Multiple Energy Tech, LLC (MET) has accused Under Armour of false marketing and other violations related to bioceramic apparel products. The dispute centers on Under Armour's shift from MET's bioceramic powder to a competing product called Celliant, produced by Hologenix.

Tom Brady, known for his alternative nutrition and recovery methods marketed through his company TB12, initially introduced MET and Under Armour in 2014. The parties entered into an exclusive supply agreement and launched a bioceramic sleepwear product by early 2017, with Brady endorsing the apparel.

According to MET, Under Armour falsely claimed its new apparel containing Celliant was "FDA approved" when it was not, discouraged manufacturing partners from working with MET, and used MET's confidential information. MET's lawsuit alleges violations of the Lanham Act, Sherman Act, and various state laws.

The case, Multiple Energy Tech, LLC v. Under Armour, is currently before the court with competing summary-judgment motions filed by both parties. The legal proceedings follow a ruling by Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan of the Western District of Pennsylvania.
