The suit, filed on Tuesday, July 16, 2026, in a federal court in Texas, claims that Harwood operated at least two Grok accounts under false identities to create and distribute explicit child sexual abuse material.

The legal action highlights concerns over the misuse of AI technologies for illegal content creation and distribution. xAI is pursuing the case to address and prevent such abuses of its platform.
