Hamish Tait, a Sydney childcare worker, is facing 329 charges related to the alleged abuse of more than 130 children spanning from 2009 to 2025. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) have identified "a couple" of alleged victims from South Australia, connected to a remote Indigenous school.

The AFP released a list of 55 locations where Tait had worked between 2009 and 2025 as part of the ongoing investigation. Police are actively trying to identify more victims and have released images of clothing to assist with this effort.

South Australian authorities are collaborating closely with the AFP and the South Australia Police (SAPOL). SA Education Minister Lucy Hood stated, "I can assure South Australians that our [education] department and our government will work closely with the AFP and SAPOL to ensure that every assistance offered to them so that justice can be served in this instance."

Tait's charges include 162 counts of producing child abuse material, 81 counts of filming a person engaged in a private act without consent, and 24 counts of using a child under 14 years for the production of child abuse material. The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities committed to supporting victims and their families.
