Tom Brady, recently appointed Chief Wellness Officer at digital health company eMed, sent a clear message to Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Brady stressed that Mendoza, like every other young rookie, has yet to earn his opportunity in the NFL.

Speaking with Liz Claman on FOX Business' "The Claman Countdown," Brady said, "Well, I love Fernando, but Fernando is like every other young rookie. He's got to go out there and earn it like everybody else... none of these young players, none of the rookies have ever had a meaningful snap in the NFL."

Brady, who built a Hall of Fame career by proving himself every Sunday, emphasized that a player's career is determined by the work they put in, the adversities they overcome, and the kind of teammate they are. Reflecting on his own career, he noted, "My body truly was my asset as a football player," and credited his success to the disciplines he learned that allowed him to take the field feeling healthy and energized.

In addition to his comments on football, Brady and eMed CEO Linda Yaccarino revealed their strategy to revolutionize healthcare by expanding access to GLP-1 medications. Yaccarino highlighted eMed's 90% adherence rate through AI and clinical support, targeting chronic diseases such as heart and liver conditions. Brady aims to democratize access to essential medical treatments and support long-term behavioral change for employees.

Brady's remarks come as he balances his new role in healthcare with his ongoing involvement in football, including his minority ownership stake in the Raiders.
