On Thursday, July 16, 2026, U.S. wireless carrier Verizon announced plans to sell 274 company-owned retail locations and lay off approximately 500 corporate employees as part of its ongoing restructuring efforts. These changes will affect around 3,000 retail and corporate workers in total.
