Overnight on Saturday, July 18th, 2026, Ukrainian drone attacks struck two large warehouses belonging to Russia's major online retailer Wildberries, as well as an oil depot near Elektrostal, Russia, according to Russian officials.

One warehouse was hit in Kotovsk, Tambov region, approximately 360 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, and the other in Elektrostal, about 50 kilometres east of Moscow. Both facilities caught fire. Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim later confirmed the fire in Kotovsk had been extinguished, while images showed a raging fire at the Elektrostal site with massive smoke plumes.

The attack on the oil depot in Noginsk, just north of Elektrostal, sparked a fire and led to the evacuation of a nearby maternity hospital and a residential building, as reported by Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region.

Casualties include seven night shift workers killed and 25 wounded at the Kotovsk warehouse, according to Tambov regional governor Yevgeny Pervyshov. In the Moscow region, 37 people were wounded, with one later dying in hospital, per Governor Vorobyov. Additionally, a Ukrainian drone struck a residential building in Vladimir, 180 kilometres east of Moscow, causing a brief fire, Vladimir governor Alexander Avdeyev said.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated its air defenses intercepted 379 Ukrainian drones overnight. Officials described the targeted facilities as significant logistical hubs used to supply sanctioned components for drone and navigation equipment production.
