A Ukrainian drone attack on a logistics centre in western Russia killed seven people and wounded 24, the regional governor of Tambov, Evgeny Pervyshov, said on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The attack targeted a Wildberries logistics centre in the town of Kotovsk.

"Seven night-shift employees were killed when enemy UAVs hit a Wildberries logistics centre," Pervyshov stated. "According to preliminary information, 24 people were wounded."

Russian firm Wildberries confirmed that its logistics complexes in Kotovsk and Elektrostal, both in the Moscow region, came under attack. The fire at the Tambov facility has been contained, while firefighters continue working in Elektrostal.

The attack was part of a larger wave involving more than 370 drones launched toward the Moscow region overnight. Moscow's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, said most drones were neutralised by air defense forces at distant approaches, with 64 enemy UAVs destroyed on approach to Moscow.

Kyiv has stated that its attacks on Russia are fair retribution for Moscow's ongoing war in Ukraine, which has lasted over four years.
