On July 19, South African rugby coach Rassie Erasmus confirmed that flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu will be fit to return for the Springboks' upcoming one-off test against Argentina in Buenos Aires on August 8. Erasmus made the announcement following South Africa's 43-0 Nations Championship victory over Wales in Durban, where the team scored seven tries under challenging weather conditions.

Erasmus also praised 20-year-old Vusi Moyo, who started as one of four debutants in the match. "He definitely played well," Erasmus said, noting that Moyo's nervousness and the wet conditions affected some of his kicking accuracy. Erasmus added, "In your first or second test, you’re tired because of the nerves and I thought his tyres were a little pap (flat) in the second half when we took him off."

The coach acknowledged that the Springboks were sloppy at times and wasted scoring opportunities but highlighted improvements in defense and set pieces compared to previous matches. "It was tough to play an expansive, pretty game in weather like that against a team that really wanted to defend," he said. "But we didn’t lose a lineout ball and, while we weren’t on our game in the scrums last week, we were good today."

Erasmus also confirmed that experienced flyhalf Handre Pollard is sidelined due to a hamstring issue. Reflecting on the team's progress, he said, "We are just trying to build our game and I think today was another step forward."
