TOKYO — AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings, a prominent Japanese logistics services company serving Amazon Japan, announced plans to adopt the yen-denominated JPYC stablecoin for payments to about 2,300 business partners. These partners include individual truck drivers and other subcontractors who provide outsourced services.
This initiative is expected to be the first large-scale corporate use of JPYC in Japan. AZ-COM Maruwa aims to attract contractors by offering prompt and fee-less payments through the stablecoin system.
The move highlights a growing interest in integrating digital currency solutions within traditional business operations in Asia.
