Since the onset of the war in Iran, 17 U.S. service members have been killed. The conflict intensified after President Donald Trump announced "major combat operations" against Iran on February 28, involving massive joint U.S.-Israeli strikes targeting military, government, and infrastructure sites.

Despite negotiations in June between U.S. and Iranian delegations aimed at a war-ending memorandum of understanding, hostilities persist. The Strait of Hormuz remains a strategic flashpoint.

On Monday, the Kuwaiti Army reported that its air defenses are "currently confronting attacks by hostile drones," condemning what it called "Iranian aggression." Meanwhile, Bahrain's Interior Ministry stated that air raid sirens were sounded at least twice on Monday morning.

U.S. forces conducted another wave of attacks against Iran on Sunday evening, marking the ninth consecutive night of strikes. According to CENTCOM, these strikes targeted "Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance sites, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks," aiming to weaken Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz. The strikes will continue to degrade Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the area.

Additionally, a controlled detonation was carried out on unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone.

The U.S. military assets involved include F-16s stationed in Germany and F-35 fighters stationed in the U.K., according to officials.
