Firefighters are actively battling a significant wildfire in Spain's Guadalajara province, located north of Madrid. The fire has destroyed approximately 29,000 hectares of land, prompting the evacuation of more than 1,200 residents from the affected areas.
Crews on the ground have been creating firebreaks and using hoses to combat the flames, while water-dropping aircraft provide aerial support. Despite ongoing efforts, the wildfire remains one of the most challenging incidents faced by Spanish authorities.
Smoke continues to drift over the scorched landscape as ground teams and aircraft tackle remaining hotspots.
