Country music star Carly Pearce revealed in a recent TikTok video that she does not want to have children, a decision she says she feels conflicted about sharing. Pearce explained, "Maybe some of you out here are like me. I always feel bad saying that I actually don't want children. I love children, I love my friends' children, I'm a great aunt. But, it was never my dream."

She emphasized the importance of normalizing the choice to not have kids, stating, "I think we should normalize people that truly know they don't wanna have kids. I don't think it should be for everyone just because society tells us to. People who don’t want children shouldn’t have children. More power to you!"

Pearce also addressed her views on marriage following her divorce from fellow country singer Michael Ray. The couple was married for one year before divorcing in 2020. Pearce referred to her first marriage as a "start-up marriage" and expressed that she would not let her past experiences deter her from remarrying in the future.

Pearce and Ray began dating in 2018 after Pearce initiated contact via social media. Despite their split, Pearce remains open to new beginnings in her personal life.
