Jake Paul, the 29-year-old boxer and social media personality, stated on July 24, 2026, that multiple NFL teams and coaches have reached out to him about joining their rosters. Speaking to Front Office Sports, Paul said, "I have a couple of teams and coaches that I’ve already talked to that are interested in bringing me onto the team. It’s really going to be quite easy."

Paul expressed confidence in his athletic abilities compared to current NFL players, claiming, "I think there is a lot of super mediocrity in the NFL. A lot of not good athletes. Lot of people dropping passes on a consistent basis. I have better hands than them, I’m faster than them, I’m stronger than them, I work harder than them."

He added that transitioning to football would mainly require practicing routes after his boxing career. Paul also revealed a personal preference for the Cleveland Browns, saying, "I mean I’d love to go to the Cleveland Browns, been a Browns fan my whole entire life. My mom is a diehard Browns fan and I think they could use some good receivers over there. No. 17, Browns, reserve the jersey now."

Despite suffering a double broken jaw in a recent boxing match, Paul told ESPN's "The Pat McAfee Show" that he would fight again if the financial offer is sufficient.
