Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to travel to Washington, D.C., next week to meet with former US President Donald Trump and attend the memorial service for the late Senator Lindsey Graham.

According to Netanyahu's office, he will depart Israel on Monday, July 27, 2026, and meet with Trump the following day. The memorial service celebrating Graham's life and legacy will be held on Tuesday, July 28, in Washington, D.C., and on Wednesday, July 29, in Columbia and Pickens County, South Carolina.

Netanyahu paid tribute to Graham, describing him as "a great friend of Israel and a cherished friend of mine," emphasizing their shared understanding that the security of Israel and America are inseparable. US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee also praised Graham's unwavering support for the US-Israel alliance, highlighting that anyone who seeks to destroy Israel ultimately threatens America.

Meanwhile, military operations continue in the region. Central Command has conducted repeated airstrikes against Iranian military targets, and the Israel Defense Forces have been pushing back against provocations from Hezbollah, an Iran-backed group based in Lebanon.

Netanyahu's visit and attendance at the memorial come at a time of heightened cooperation between the US and Israel, grounded in shared Judeo-Christian values and mutual security interests.
