Displaced Palestinians in Gaza have cautiously welcomed Israel’s approval for an international stabilisation force to enter the territory as part of a US-backed ceasefire plan. Residents hope that the presence of this force will facilitate the rebuilding of Gaza and enable them to return to their homes after enduring months of bombardment and displacement.
