French police arrested a man on Monday, July 27th, 2026, after he attacked three women with knives near Porte de Clichy in the north of Paris. The assault occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. local time (09:30 GMT). The victims, aged 19, 24, and 36, were attacked with two kitchen knives.
Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told reporters at a news conference that two of the women were severely wounded but their lives were not in danger. The suspect was apprehended by an off-duty police officer at the scene.
Nunez paid tribute to the off-duty officer, calling the act courageous.
