On Friday, July 26th, 2026, two men climbed over the glass wall of Seattle’s iconic Space Needle and parachuted down from the 605-foot structure, according to the Seattle Police Department. The men, described only as white and in their late 20s, purchased tickets and entered the Space Needle at about 8:50 p.m. Surveillance footage showed them at the top level before they went into a restroom and emerged wearing helmets. They then ran to the glass window, climbed over to the other side, and jumped off.

The jumpers face trespassing charges, as reported by Public Affairs Officer Brian Pritchard. Security personnel at the Space Needle were unsure where the men landed, and police have been unable to locate them. The Space Needle did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Saturday.
