On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, AT&T announced it has completed its $23 billion acquisition of wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar. The deal, initially announced in August 2025, enables AT&T to add approximately 50 MHz of low-band and mid-band spectrum covering nearly every market in the United States.
This acquisition includes 30 MHz of nationwide 3.45 GHz mid-band spectrum and about 20 MHz of nationwide 600 MHz low-band spectrum. The expanded spectrum is expected to bolster AT&T's wireless network capabilities across the country.
