Tony Romo, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, was arrested on July 23, 2026, in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, for operating while intoxicated, according to police bodycam footage obtained by Fox News Digital.

The footage shows Romo questioning the police officers during the traffic stop. He told the officer he was coming from a golf course and insisted he had consumed "zero" drinks before requesting to call his attorney. When asked to step out of the vehicle, Romo responded, "Because I'm coming from a golf course, you think I'm drunk?"

Police detained Romo and took him to a nearby station for field sobriety tests. The arresting officer reported observing red, glassy eyes and smelling alcohol on Romo. After completing the tests, Romo refused to take a breath test, stating, "I've heard from all the lawyers don't ever do that."

Romo was previously released by the Dallas Cowboys after the season and has since retired from professional football.
