Iran has issued a stern warning against any "adventurous action" by the United States, pledging decisive retaliation if American forces proceed with President Donald Trump's threats of new attacks on Iranian targets.

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi conveyed these warnings during separate phone calls with senior officials from Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. These discussions followed reports from Kuwait's army that it had destroyed hostile drones launched by Iran against vital facilities.

Araghchi emphasized Iran's readiness to respond decisively to any aggression and highlighted the potential consequences of destabilizing actions by the US, which could heighten regional insecurity. He also told Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan that any attacks by the US and Israel, or involvement by regional countries, would be met with a "proportionate response."

A media outlet affiliated with Iran's top security body, Nournews, stated that US strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure would trigger Iranian attacks on oil fields in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as gas fields in Qatar and Israel, warning that "all will be burned to ashes."
