On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Serie A club Juventus announced the signing of 18-year-old Bosnian winger Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen for 30 million euros ($34.6 million).

Alajbegovic, born in Germany, had been part of Bayer Leverkusen's youth academy since 2021 before moving to RB Salzburg last season. At Salzburg, he scored 13 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions. The German club had re-signed him on a five-year contract prior to this transfer.

Internationally, Alajbegovic played a key role for Bosnia and Herzegovina during the World Cup playoffs, scoring in penalty shootout victories over Wales and Italy. He also netted the opening goal in Bosnia's 3-1 win over Qatar, which secured their progression to the knockout stages for the first time. Bosnia was eventually eliminated after a 2-0 loss to co-hosts the United States.

Alajbegovic has now signed a five-year contract with Juventus, marking a significant step in his young career.
