Japanese companies Yamashita and Welfan are expanding their nursing care product businesses into China to meet the needs of the country's rapidly growing elderly population. China's population aged 60 and older surpassed 323 million last year and is expected to exceed 400 million by around 2035.

The two specialists aim to establish a network of 100 stores across China by 2030 as the eldercare market continues to grow. This expansion reflects the increasing demand for nursing care equipment in China, driven by demographic shifts.

The companies are leveraging their expertise from Japan, where eldercare is a significant sector, to tap into the opportunities presented by China's silver economy.
