Daniel Tes, owner of The Local Donut in Scottsdale, Arizona, opened his doughnut shop 10 years ago. Despite a decade of steady operation, this summer brought unprecedented challenges. Tes told FOX 10 Phoenix, "A lot of small businesses deal with it, but this year was different. We felt the pressure after spring training to get things ready for summer, and we just couldn't catch up. Last week was probably our worst. We couldn't make payroll."

Humbled by the situation, Tes reached out on social media, asking God for help. The response from the community was immediate and overwhelming. The day after his post, The Local Donut was packed with customers who came to support the business.

Because of this generosity, the shop was able to remain open. Regular customer Harris Dozier praised the shop, saying, "They've got a lot of great options as well as super friendly people, so it's a great time to come in here real quick for a doughnut."

The story highlights the power of community support for small businesses facing economic hardships. Tes expressed gratitude, noting, "There's a lot of selfless people out there, a lot of generous people," and added, "People are there to help out, and I definitely want to pay it forward as well too."

Meanwhile, unrelated to the doughnut shop, chicken wing prices have dropped nationally, though restaurants may not immediately reduce menu prices.
