Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has introduced a paid service called the "Truth API" that provides Wall Street firms and institutional investors with the fastest access to the most influential accounts on the Truth Social platform.

While TMTG has not explicitly confirmed that the service includes former President Donald Trump's account, which boasts around 13 million followers—the largest on the site—it is widely believed that his posts are among the most impactful.

The Financial Times reported that customers could be charged up to $100,000 per month for this high-speed access, though TMTG has not verified this figure. The service is expected to appeal primarily to high-frequency trading firms, which use automated algorithms to execute trades rapidly and at scale. According to Charles Schwab, such systems often generate large returns through speed and volume despite making only small profits per transaction.

The launch has raised legal and ethical questions, particularly because the president's family remains the majority shareholder of TMTG. Senate Democrats have criticized the move, with Senators Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff stating in a letter to the SEC that it "appears to be an outrageous abuse of the President's office for his personal benefit that undermines everyday investors and the integrity of our markets, while enriching Wall Street and other wealthy insiders."

In response, a TMTG spokesperson accused Senate Democrats of mischaracterizing the Truth API, suggesting their opposition stems from ideological resistance to free markets or a misunderstanding of the difference between public and nonpublic information.

The service is not intended for retail investors or even sophisticated institutional investors without the complex systems needed to capitalize on such rapid information.
