WWE star Brie Bella announced on Monday, August 4, 2026, that she will be "out for a bit" following a broken scapula injury sustained during her six-woman tag team match at SummerSlam over the weekend. Bella revealed the injury in an Instagram post, expressing gratitude for the support and prayers she received from fans.
Bella appeared to suffer the injury after taking a move from opponent Jacy Jayne. Despite clutching and rubbing her shoulder during the remainder of the match alongside her sister Nikki Bella and Paige, she finished the bout before seeking medical attention.
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque described the injury as "pretty bad" after Night 1 of SummerSlam. Bella was treated at the venue and then taken to the hospital for scans, with no further updates available yet.
In her Instagram message, Bella shared a lighthearted note about her recovery support system: "Buddy said he’s going to be my assistant, Birdie‘s going to be my nurse and they both told me that daddy is going to be my personal chef, so I am set!! If there is one thing I know about Brie Mode, she always finds a way to come back to her wrestling home."
Brie Bella had made a notable return to WWE at the Royal Rumble in January 2026 and was scheduled to team with her sister Nikki at WrestleMania 42 before Nikki suffered her own injury.
