The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced on Wednesday, August 6, 2026, that it is targeting 12 additional deep-red U.S. House districts in the upcoming November midterm elections. This move adds to the 46 districts the DCCC had already identified as potential flips, bringing the total to 58.

Among the newly targeted districts are those held by Republicans Lauren Boebert of Colorado, French Hill of Arkansas, and Mike Flood of Nebraska. The DCCC Chair, Suzan DelBene, stated, "House Democrats are expanding the battlefield deep into Trump terrain because we have a winning message focused on fighting for an Affordable America."

DelBene criticized MAGA Republicans, saying they "have let down the people they were elected to represent, passing disastrous policies that are crushing working families and our communities."

The DCCC expressed confidence in their prospects, declaring, "Democrats are going to win in November and make Hakeem Jeffries the next Speaker of the House."

The announcement comes amid ongoing political dynamics, with some districts including parts of Westchester County, which voted heavily for former Vice President Kamala Harris, and others that President Donald Trump won by double digits in 2024.
