A 36-year-old woman from Western Sydney, Jasmine Baker, has been charged with 62 offences including 18 threats to kill, 23 stalking and intimidation charges, and multiple counts of using postal services to menace, harass, or offend. Police allege she sent death threat letters to five politicians, including NSW Labor minister Jihad Dib, One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, independent federal MP Allegra Spender, Parramatta federal MP Andrew Charlton, and Macnamara federal MP Josh Burns.

Additional alleged targets include 2GB presenter Mark Levy and former president of the Australian Jewish Association, David Adler. The investigation began in May 2026 when Strike Force Eckon from the Counter Terrorism & Special Tactics Command started probing a large volume of abusive letters sent to multiple recipients.

The police prosecutor stated they have DNA evidence linking Baker to the letters sent over a five-year period from 2021 to 2026, noting an escalation in the nature of the alleged offending with several letters sent in 2026. Baker was arrested at her home in Constitution Hill and denied bail, with the court noting that the issues "can't be addressed by what's being offered."

Her lawyer said Baker is the sole carer for her mother, who has multiple health conditions, and that her Centrelink payments are significant for their leased Housing NSW residence. The lawyer also mentioned Baker suffered a traumatic event in 2018 and has been medicated since.
