TOKYO — Japanese brewer and beverage company Kirin Holdings announced on August 7, 2026, that it will acquire Ontario-based vitamin and supplement maker Jamieson Wellness for 1.898 billion Canadian dollars ($1.3 billion). This strategic move aims to establish Kirin’s presence in the North American health science market, the world’s largest supplement sector, as the company faces a flat beer market in its core business.

Kirin Holdings has been diversifying its portfolio by expanding into health foods and supplements, and this acquisition marks a significant step in that direction.
