TOKYO — Japanese brewer and beverage company Kirin Holdings announced on August 7, 2026, a deal valued at 1.898 billion Canadian dollars ($1.3 billion) to acquire Jamieson Wellness, an Ontario-based vitamin and supplement manufacturer. This acquisition marks Kirin's strategic move to establish a foothold in the North American health science market, the world's largest supplement sector, as the beer market remains flat.
Kirin Holdings has been diversifying its portfolio into health foods and supplements, aiming to expand beyond its traditional beverage business.
