Switzerland, known for its neutral stance in global conflicts, possesses more nuclear bomb shelters than any other country in the world. Instead of dismantling its extensive network of bomb shelters after the Cold War, the country continued to build them. Today, Switzerland has more than 370,000 nuclear bomb shelters, some of which have been repurposed to house migrants.

This enduring infrastructure reflects Switzerland's unique approach to civil defense and preparedness.
