Italian Serie A club Como announced on Sunday, August 9, 2026, that they have signed England defender Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea on a five-year contract. Although financial terms were not officially disclosed, British media reported that Como paid 30 million euros (approximately $34.67 million) plus add-ons for the transfer.

Chalobah, 27, leaves Chelsea after making 47 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. His move comes following Chelsea's acquisition of defender Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace.

A product of Chelsea's academy, Chalobah had loan spells at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, Lorient, and Crystal Palace before establishing himself in Chelsea's first team. He was also part of Thomas Tuchel's England squad at the 2026 World Cup, featuring in the third-place playoff against France, which England won 6-4.

In a statement, Chalobah expressed enthusiasm about joining Como: "I can't wait to bring my experience to the team, feel the incredible atmosphere at the stadium, and connect with the fans. I will give my absolute all every single day to make history together."

Chalobah joins a Como side undergoing transformation under coach Cesc Fabregas.
