Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has outlined conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, demanding an end to the US naval blockade and compensation for war damages. This development comes as the United States seeks commitments to halt attacks on ships navigating the waterway.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed hope that ongoing talks with Oman will produce positive results regarding the Strait of Hormuz. He also called for the country to move beyond the current state described as “neither war nor peace.”

The situation reflects heightened tensions in the region, with the US Pentagon reportedly accelerating changes in its approach to Iran, including seeking lower-cost weapons amid the conflict.
