The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has decided to pull its support from the Arctic Report Card, a climate and environment report focused on the Arctic region. Rick Thoman, the lead editor for the 2026 Arctic Report Card, stated that participants were informed on Monday, August 11, 2026, that they would no longer receive assistance from the government agency.

The Arctic Report Card has previously benefited from NOAA's involvement, but the agency's withdrawal marks a significant change in support for the report.
