On Monday, August 12, 2026, a federal immigration officer with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) drew his gun on Carolina Molina, 36, during a confrontation in a Falls Church, Virginia parking lot. Officers accused Molina of attempting to hit them with her vehicle.
Videos shared on social media show several masked ICE officers surrounding Molina's stationary car as she sits behind the wheel. During the encounter, one officer pulled out a handgun and pointed it at Molina’s window while warning her, “You almost ran us over. I will arrest you.” Molina denied the accusation and informed the officers she was recording the incident.
Molina told CNN affiliate WUSA9, “I was looking down a barrel, and he could have shot me, and he could have gotten away with it.” The officers eventually left without taking Molina into custody, and she has not been charged.
The videos do not show what led to the confrontation, only the moments after officers surrounded Molina’s vehicle.
Don Beyer (D-Va.), the representative for Falls Church, criticized the officers’ conduct and confirmed his office had been in contact with Molina regarding the incident.
