Lindsay Clancy, 32, faced a harrowing moment in Plymouth Superior Court on Wednesday, August 13, 2026, as she broke down in tears while a medical examiner described the autopsy of her 5-year-old daughter, Cora Clancy. Barbara Olson, the medical examiner, testified about the autopsy when Clancy sobbed and said, "I can't do this."

Clancy is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her three children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan. Prosecutors argued in opening statements that Clancy "deliberately and meticulously" killed her children and "acted intentionally, rationally, and swiftly to accomplish a very specific goal."

The trial, held at Plymouth Superior Court, was in its fifth day of testimony. Another medical examiner, Renee Stonebridge, also gave testimony about her examination of some body parts of Clancy's three children, prompting the judge, Sullivan, to call a break after Clancy began crying again.

Evidence and testimony presented in court revealed that five doctors had prescribed Clancy medication prior to the deaths of her children. Clancy reportedly took the lives of her children before attempting suicide in January 2026.
