Israeli strikes have killed at least seven Palestinians across Gaza, local medical sources report, marking ongoing violations of a ceasefire that took effect last October. On Tuesday, three Palestinians were killed and others injured in a strike on a home in Beit Lahiya, near Kamal Adwan Hospital, according to a source at al-Shifa Hospital. Additionally, three others died from wounds sustained in earlier Israeli raids on Khan Younis, Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent Nour Khaled said.

The attacks also destroyed an aid supply warehouse, a significant loss that will impact humanitarian efforts. Sahar Salem, project coordinator at AEI, stated, “Losing these quantities in their entirety is a major blow to our work and will undoubtedly affect our ability to reach the children and women who need these services, particularly given the conditions they continue to face in the aftermath of starvation.”

Director-General Dr Munir al-Bursh told Al Jazeera that Israel “continues to escalate its attacks on Gaza and violate the ceasefire agreement, which is present in statements but absent from people’s lives on the ground.”

In a related development, former US President Trump said in a Fox News interview on August 17 that Israel “should not be striking in Gaza” and noted that “Hamas agreed to lay down their weapons” under a US-backed peace plan.

Meanwhile, Israel has been accused of using kite incidents as a pretext to justify escalating attacks in Gaza. The Health Ministry has warned of a “complete collapse of the basic necessities of life” in the region as hospitals face shortages, including running out of oxygen.
