Zymire Hughes, a Philadelphia man accused of terrorizing citizens while wearing a "Chucky"-style Halloween mask, was arrested in Las Vegas after a multi-state manhunt, according to the U.S. Marshals Service’s Philadelphia office and the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force.

Hughes allegedly fled Philadelphia and traveled through several states before surveillance footage helped authorities locate him at a southeast Las Vegas apartment complex. Investigators said he moved between locations to avoid arrest and spent five days hiding there.

Marshals reported that Hughes had been living in Las Vegas since February and maintained work ties in Nevada and California. He was apprehended without any weapons or items recovered and did not make any statements regarding his motive.

During the incidents in Philadelphia, Hughes reportedly wore a white baby doll-style Halloween mask with black hair and carried a black-and-blue plaid backpack. In one episode, police said he confronted a 40-year-old female jogger, asking, "Are you ready to die?" while keeping his arm behind his back as if holding a weapon. The woman fled and sustained a leg injury requiring extensive treatment.

Hughes is currently held at the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada, pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
