Separate Ukrainian drone strikes across Russia on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026, have killed at least three people and caused significant damage to industrial facilities.
Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov reported that a warehouse belonging to Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries in the Tambov region was "completely destroyed by fire." Approximately 100,000 square meters (1.1 million square feet) of the logistics center were set ablaze, an area equivalent to 14 football pitches.
Additional damage was reported in the Nizhny Novgorod region, where another industrial facility was hit by a drone attack, according to the regional governor.
In the Lipetsk region, a man and a 14-year-old were killed in a fire caused by a falling drone. Meanwhile, a woman died in a drone attack in the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, as reported by local authorities and quoted by Reuters on Telegram.
Russia’s Ministry of Defence stated that its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 426 Ukrainian drones during the night, including over Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine.
These events come amid ongoing conflict and increased drone activity in the region.
