Jeanine John Taele, 38, was arrested earlier this month at President Donald Trump's golf course in California after federal agents observed him photographing and videotaping security activities ahead of the president's scheduled visit.

Authorities found that Taele had seven notebooks containing 208 pages of writings. These included detailed schedules for first lady Melania Trump, information about individual Secret Service personnel, and drawings and sketches of the Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to reports from The Associated Press and The New York Post.

Deputies also discovered a 16-round magazine loaded with hollow-point ammunition in Taele's pants pocket, as reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Taele pleaded not guilty to four criminal charges related to his arrest. A hearing was held at the Hollywood Mental Health Court.

Los Angeles County Judge John Lonergan Jr. described the allegations as "alarming," noting the increasing violence in everyday life and the heightened political partisanship ahead of the midterm elections.

The U.S. Secret Service declined to comment on specific protective intelligence matters regarding Taele's motives.

Taele's family has expressed support, noting he is a veteran who served the country.
