Nigeria is grappling with a worsening security crisis as mass kidnappings become increasingly frequent. In one of the latest incidents, more than 500 people were abducted in Niger State, located in the North-Central region of the country. Armed groups have kidnapped thousands of Nigerians in recent years, holding them captive and demanding ransom payments for their release.

This surge in kidnappings has sparked growing anger among Nigerians, who accuse the government of failing to mount an effective response to the crisis.
